The Meraki Meadow.
What started with two squishy little green forest creatures has grown into something so much bigger and so much more beautiful than I ever imagined.
And truthfully, it was born out of sorrow.
Sorrow over feeling left behind in life. Sorrow over a disconnection with my creativity. Sorrow over feeling stuck in an endless cycle of burnout.
Meraki: To do something with soul, creativity, and love. To put something of yourself into your work.
When I found the word “Meraki,” things changed. My perspective shifted. My creativity reawakened. And a story began to unfold.
A story of hope. Of simplicity. Of curiosity, coziness, and creativity. A story that celebrated the magic of the mundane and the beauty of simple little lives.
Because sometimes, we aren’t extraordinary. Our adventures aren’t so grand. Or perhaps “grand” simply means something a little different for us…
One of my biggest hopes for 2026 is to spend more time in the Meadow. Illustrating its environments and characters and unlocking its lore through writing. It’s my most cherished project, and its story is one I believe is just getting started…
If you’d like to hear more about the heart behind the Meraki Meadow and the method behind its designs, I have a whole YouTube video about it! Or if you’d like to dive into the Meadow in a more tangible way, the Meraki Mail Club is just for you. Every month you’ll receive an envelope full of Meraki goodies to inspire you in your own creative practice and remind you of the beauty of the every day! (And there’s an option for international Meraki Members, too!!) 💛
