A Season of REST

it's okay to take a breather

Happy fall y’all!! We’ve officially entered my favorite season of the year, and I couldn’t be more excited. The beginning of fall is always a beautiful time of reflection and transition for me. A time to look back on the year so far and make choices about how I want to finish out the year. Practicing gratefulness for all the wonderful memories I made over the summer and the events I was blessed to attend, and practicing gratefulness for the opportunity to enter into a season of rest. Life is so full of beautiful ebbs and flows from go-go-go to calm, and one event after the other to quiet evenings at home.

August and September were a bit chaotic for me. Due to poor planning (and some serious procrastination), I had to run around like a banshee to get tasks done, and let me tell ya’, it was STRESSFUL. But it was also a good lesson in the importance of time management.

Now that I’ve accomplished those tasks such as creating my 6-part video series on healing my relationship with creativity, launching new products for autumn (that sale’s still going on in my shop if you want to check it out with the code AUTUMN15 😉), and prepping for the next Curiosity Quest on Patreon, I’m ready to take a breather and just be. To enjoy longer walks in the cooler weather, taking in the beautiful palette of autumn leaves. To do a bit more on the creative side and less on the business-y side. The busy seasons are beautiful, too, but I want to take the time to truly appreciate the calmer, quieter ones when they come. I’m ready for a season of rest.
